Cyclist in photos should have helmets

I have seen frequent articles during the past several years in the Coloradoan regarding the popularity of bicycle riding in Fort Collins. I commute to work most days by bicycle. We are fortunate to have such an excellent bike-friendly city. Unfortunately, many of your photos of bikers have shown them riding without helmets. (Your recent front page article Oct. 3 did have one of the two riders wearing a helmet).

I would strongly suggest that you advance public safety by only using photos of helmeted bikers. It's a lot easier to comb your hair after removing your helmet than fix your brain after its collision with the pavement.
